 Howdy!Welcome to the CowPony Camp....a place for kids to come and learn to RIDE, ROPE AND BE A COWBOY! Not your typical "kids camp" or even horse camp, we are very unique from all other types of camps. Your child can come and have an experience of a lifetime at CowPony Camp. When the cowpokes leave here they take with them a new outlook on life. Working with gentle horses, cattle and living the cowboy code for a few days out of their summer, will help them develop a sense of pride, confidence, honor and patience.

Cowboy Camp Camp Dates: June 22 thru June 26 July 20 thru July 24 Aug. 17 thru 21 ********************  Below are just an example of some of our activities for Cowboy
Camp! BASIC HORSEMANSHIP DUMMY ROPING ROUND PENNING A HORSE OR PONY LEARNING ABOUT CATTLE (UP CLOSE) FEED AND CARE OF THE RANCH ANIMALS GAMING EVENTS (BARRELS/POLES) GROUP CATTLE HERDING AT THE WALK DAILY COWBOY CRAFT FARRIER DEMONSTRATION FUN, FRIENDLY COMPETITIONS ****************** Of course all children will be monitored on their progress of horsemanship and only be advanced as we feel they are ready. SAFETY is our first priority. We want our cowpokes to leave here with their confidence level as high as possible! Our cattle are very slow and tame/safe for beginners under supervision and our horses/ponies are all experienced with cattle so they are very confident around them. If your child chooses to rope only the roping dummy (fake steer) they do not have to participate in the live animals if they do not wish to. Its all about having fun! ****************************************************************** Horsemanship Camp Camp Dates: June 29 thru July 3 July 27 thru July 31 Aug.24 thru Aug 28 **********************  This camp involves all aspects of learning about horses. From feeding, grooming, tacking up, how to age a horse, basic anatomy of the hoof, natural horsemanship, round pen work, reading a horses body language, etc.. But the funnest part is RIDING, RIDING AND MORE RIDING! We will
have horseback games, fun contests and involvement for everyone! Your child will have fun while learning! Crafts Farrier Demonstration Games on horseback w/prizes!
