BAYLITE MARTINA
(MARTEENI)
13.3H, 4YR, AQHA REG. MARE

This is "Marteeni", our gorgeous
super gentle little heel/steer stopping/breakaway/lesson horse! She LOVES to rope and is excellent on trail. Marteeni is super
laid back, cowy, gentle and kind. We have put 8 months of training into her and have been able to use her for beginner
ropers to learn on! Marteeni is so quiet on cattle and in new places, she settles in easily and does great at the
jackpots as well as JR Rodeos. She is pretty close to bomb proof at everything we put her through now. At home
we can use her for beginners to learn to ride in the round pen, beginner ropers to rope lead steer and steer stop on and we
are just now teaching her to actually head in case she needs to once in a while. She doesnt care, she just does
what you tell her to because she loves to rope. When the beginners get her tangled up in the rope she isnt the least bit concerned,
she is very patient and doesnt get upset if they are heavy on her face and kicking her accidentally. We just put her
in a hackamore for the beginner ropers and a chain bit for more advanced to rope on to get more response. She will go either
way. Marteeni has no vices, she clips like a dream, loves her baths, hauls quiet, no kick, bite, etc. You can pony her
off another horse or pony other horses from her. We just put her first pair of sled shoes on just the rear to make her stops
a little easier but those are not mandatory.

DOCS COOL QUIXOTE (SOLD)
AQHA, 6yr., 14.3h bay gelding.
I bought this horse at the age of
4.5yrs to train and use while my good mare was recovering from an injury for a year. After looking and calling on many finished
horses........I decided to buy one that was slightly started and just train him myself. Unfortunately "Pony" wasnt
started properly so I had to actually "untrain" him and then retrain him. He has such a passion for roping and cattle
that it didnt take long for him to come around. I have hauled him to over 150 ropings since I bought him and competed on him
at the 2007 ACTRA and CA. Shootout Finals all three days. He never runs out of steam when it comes to roping. He is super
quiet in the box, leaves fast and flat, rates, makes a smoooooth corner, pulls anything you put behind him and faces super
fast........then turns around and just walks back up the arena. "Pony" will rate back as far as you like or ride
up close if you ask. He will also ride into the box and turn either way, move side to side, ride forward and back when you
ask. He is very free in the box and just does what you tell him to (no freezing up or refusals). He is suited to a #5 USTRC
and up but would really be a great rodeo horse. He is an awesome jackpot horse that can rope back to back steers in the short
go and he just gets quieter in the box! He is sound, healthy and has no vices. He does need to be rode a couple times a week
to be at his best.........NOT a weekend warm up horse for those who only rope and ride occasionally. This guy needs a
serious partner so he doesnt go to waste. I can use him for my riding students to rope the lead steer, but would not sell
him as a kids horse as he can move from side to side really fast when the steer moves. Pony clips, ties, trailers well, bathes
easily, stands perfect for the shoer, loves children and people. He has a lot of personality and wont be sold until the right
home comes along. Until then I will be using him in USTRC, R4R and CA. Shootout Ropings! Only selling because I have colts
and a lot of other horses to ride and he needs to stay busy.
The pictures below include some of my lesson kids roping a lead steer on him, bathing him, picking up his
back feet and jumping him (just for the fun of it). Although I would not sell him as a childrens horse at this time, I feel
he has the potential once he gets a little more age on him. The kids that are riding him have learned to ride from me so I
know they are experienced enough to handle his moves. There is also a picture of him helping me run the steers up into the
lead up...........he holds them for me while I push them forward from the ground. Pony will stay there until I open the gate
and call for him!
